Bots

A bot is a computer-controlled game player. Many parlors offer bots that you can challenge in leiu of (or, in many-player games, to complement) human opponents.

To make a bot appear at the game table, select the Request Bot command from the Game menu. If the parlor offers bots, then one will show up in the seat pane. (If it doesn't, you'll instead see an apology.) Bots are subservient by nature and assume nothing, so you (or another human at the table) will need to choose a seat for it and drag it in.

In most cases, once someone puts a bot into a seat, it will immediately declare itself ready. If anything happens that makes the bot lose its ready state, it will simply re-ready itself. For the most part, bots are simply eager to play, and don't care how the game is set up! Once the game starts, bots will usually take their turns quickly and without any further need for prompting.

Note: Bots are players too! You can right-click on a bot's name in the seat pane to take a look at its game stats, just as with any other Volity user.
