As proof (for myself as much as for anyone else) that it's actually possible, I put up a demonstration of Testbench running a Flash-based Volity UI. Yes, it's Tic Tac Toe again, but it's in Flash, and uses no techniques outside of the standard Flash/JS interoperability toolkit. I find this truly exciting, as it really proves that the web client can bring more flexibility to Volity UI programming than ever.

You can examine the source (a mix of JavaScript, ActionScript and MXML) by updating your Subversion tree - a snapshot of this code is located in /tags/web-client/r0_2_1/testbench - or just grabbing a zipfile of this release.

Now I will start work on the really for-real web client, and documentation about everything. If you have any questions about web-based UIs in the meantime, please let me know. Now that Testbench works, it's not too early to start developing UIs that target the web client!
