POE::Component::Jabber breaks Frivolity

Back to topics list

Andy Turner just let me know that the latest release of POE::Component::Jabber, v2.0, uploaded to the CPAN on Jan. 19, introduces API changes that break Frivolity as it is currently written.

Until I see to fixing this, please use a pre-2.0 version of PCJ. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Ah, extremely good to know. I guess it's time to put a "hold" on upgrading that package in my package manager.

Thanks for the heads-up!

I finally addressed this issue with my latest svn checkin of server-perl (rev 1288). Casual testing seems to show that it works OK.

I need to bundle up a new release of Frivolity in the next couple of days, just in case anyone at the MIT presentation actually wants to download and try any of this stuff. So everything should be on CPAN shortly, as well.
