What is Volity?
Volity is an open platform for real-time, multiplayer, Internet-based games. By "open", we mean not just that anyone can create player accounts and start playing games, but also that anyone can develop and add their own games to it!
At volity.net, we are building a game network unlike any other, community-driven and created by a group of lifelong game lovers. It focuses on helping people create and play cool games together, rather than acting as yet another flashy, advertising-laden portal. While we have just begun our public beta, we already have several games available for play, authored by our first trailblazing developers. You can play them right now with Gamut, our free, Java-based client application.
Game developers can create Volity-ready games very quickly through tools and documentation we provide for free. Visit our developer resource page for more information.
